Abu Dhabi Airports Enhances Passenger Experience with New MORAFIQ “City Check-in Service

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, November 24, 2022: MORAFIQ, a joint initiative powered by Abu Dhabi Airports, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, Capital Travel, Etihad Airport Services, OACIS Middle East and Tourism 365 announced today the provision of off-site check-in services for passengers travelling from Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH).

The announcement was made at an event held at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal in Mina Zayed, where His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence was present as patron. For the official launch of MORAFIQ airport City Check-In facility in Abu Dhabi.

The check-in service is now available for departing passengers travelling out of Abu Dhabi International Airport on Etihad Airways, Wizz Air and Egypt Air from November 24, 2022.
The City Check-In facility is conveniently located at the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal and open from 9.00 AM to 9.00 PM (operating hours). Passengers can now check in and drop their luggage 24 hours in advance and up to 4 hours before their flight departure time. Like being at the airport, passengers can also take advantage of a number of ancillary services such as buying excess baggage allowance, preferred seat purchases or flight upgrades. Prices start from AED 45 for adults, AED 25 for children, AED 15 for infants and AED 120 for a family of four.
The service is perfectly timed to meet the soaring travel demands expected over the coming weeks. While helping to ease congestion, it will play a significant part in reducing the strain on airport resources and infrastructure while providing a flexible alternative to passengers.
